Canada Geese, a Great Blue Heron and a Cormorant enjoying the river at dawn.
In the last couple of days the trees have been crawling with kinglets.
This very impressive Black Widow Spider lives in my stone wall. I nearly grabbed her while I was weeding and was surprised at how quickly she moved. I was glad that she didn't bite me.

Blackburnian Warblers have never been more numerous then these past few days and in spite of their bright colors they are very difficult to spot in the forest canopy.
